New Improvement Fix

We're excited to announce Worklenz v2.3.4, our biggest update yet, featuring new task management tools, workflow improvements, and over 60 bug fixes to make your experience smoother across tasks, reports, members, authentication, finance, and UI.

What's New

  • Critical Priority Level
    A new Critical priority level has been added above High, with a distinct color so urgent tasks never get missed.
    How to use:
    1. Open any task
    2. Click the priority dropdown
    3. Select Critical
    4. The task will be marked with a distinct color
    5. Use it to flag your most time-sensitive work
  • Phase and Client Filters in Reports
    Project managers can now filter tasks by phase and client in the Reports section to monitor deadlines and workloads across all projects without needing to be assigned to each task.
    How to use:
    1. Go to the Reports section
    2. Open the Tasks view
    3. Click the new Phase filter and select a phase
    4. Use the Client filter to narrow down by client
    5. Review task due dates and progress across your projects
  • Sort Tasks by Project Key
    Tasks can now be sorted numerically by their project key in both list and board views, so PROJ-2 correctly appears before PROJ-10.
    How to use:
    1. Open a project in list or board view
    2. Click the sort dropdown
    3. Select Key as the sort option
    4. Choose ascending or descending order
    5. Tasks will sort numerically such as PROJ-1, PROJ-2, PROJ-10
  • Bulk Edit - Set Start Date
    You can now set a start date for multiple tasks at once using the bulk edit option.
    How to use:
    1. Select multiple tasks in the task list
    2. Open the bulk edit menu
    3. Choose Set Start Date
    4. Pick a date and apply to all selected tasks
    5. All selected tasks will be updated instantly
  • Save Current View
    Your preferred group-by view such as status, priority, or phase in the task list and board view is now saved automatically for your next session.
    How to use:
    1. Open a project in list or board view
    2. Change the Group By setting to status, priority, or phase
    3. The view saves automatically
    4. Return to the project anytime and your view will be restored
    5. You can also pin a view as your default

Improvements

  • Upgraded Task Description Editor Replaced with a more reliable library for better markdown formatting, faster loading, and a smoother typing experience
  • Larger Task Description Area The description input field in the task drawer is now taller and easier to use for long content
  • Sticky Priority, Status, and Phase Tags Tags now stay visible while scrolling through a task section so you always know which group you are in
  • Admin Center Member Name Update Admins can now update member names directly from Team Settings in the Admin Center

Tasks & Projects

  • Fixed task link copy allowing unauthorized members to edit tasks
  • Fixed subtask completion incorrectly reverting main task to Done after a Done-to-To Do status change
  • Fixed subtasks not being archived through the Bulk Edit Archive option
  • Fixed task dependency validation showing Done status visually even when dependencies are incomplete
  • Fixed task insertion order when using the + icon between existing tasks
  • Fixed Move To option not triggering any action in the task context menu
  • Fixed the Due Time field not being saved after selecting it in a project
  • Fixed the inability to add Due Time in the task list

  • Fixed assigned member not showing as selected after page refresh
  • Fixed Admin being unable to set or change their own job title in a project
  • Fixed Owner team access being incorrectly changed to Member when updating their own job title
  • Fixed team invitation via notification not switching workspace for users with expired subscriptions
  • Fixed team name not updating correctly after switching to an invited team
  • Fixed date text missing spaces in Members edit drawer

Authentication & Invitations

  • Fixed Google Sign Up redirecting to the Login page instead of the Google account selection
  • Fixed the invitation link redirecting to the login page instead of continuing the invitation flow
  • Fixed team invite copy link showing as expired immediately after creation

Phase & Roadmap

  • Fixed phase color appearing lighter in the task list compared to the phase header in both dark and light modes
  • Fixed phase name character limit not being enforced consistently across all rename options
  • Fixed Roadmap showing a success message when pressing Enter on the phase name without any changes
  • Fixed Invalid Date appearing in Roadmap phase even when valid start and end dates are set

Admin Center & Settings

  • Fixed organization profile picture upload not working in Admin Center
  • Fixed users being unable to crop their profile picture before uploading
  • Fixed Last Updated timestamp not updating after saving profile changes
  • Fixed the project members refresh button not showing animation while refreshing

Finance

  • Fixed Rate per Hour value not being saved in Finance settings
  • Fixed member avatar not showing in Finance Rate Card tab
